The white room Amsterdam

On the Dam Square, in the heart of Amsterdam, the five star Hotel Krasnapolsky opened recently its doors of its fine dining restaurant The White Room. In 1865 Adolph Wilhelm Krasnapolsky started this hotel by purchasing the building and throughout all the years the hotel became one of the leading hotels of Amsterdam. The current owner of the Krasnapolsky Hotel is the NH Hotel Group. Restaurant The White Room became the new fine dining restaurant of this hotel where Michelin Michelin star Chef Jacob Jan Boerma brings all the guests a refined, modern cuisine with food that contains all the sensory capability of taste such as sour, bitter, fresh and sweet. Jan Jacob Boerma and Kim Veldman, owners of Restaurant De Leest in Vaassen, a three Michelin star restaurant, every day try to take guests on a culinary journey. This culinary trip is not longer limited just to Vaassen.

Amsterdam became the newly culinary spot.  The name of the new restaurant was derived from the historical name ”De Witte Zaal” which was opened in 1885. This great room is considered one of the oldest restaurants of Amsterdam in his original condition. The newly opened White Room brought past and present seamlessly together in one room.  Jacob Jan Boerma is now internationally known for its dishes based on French traditional cuisine and prepared with organic and local ingredients. The wine of Restaurant De Leest is even organic. The White Room was officially opened on April 30, 2016.
